It's how we've rocked
Founded in 2002 by Paul Slade, Paul's
Boutique had its breakthrough at London's famous Portobello Market in Notting
Hill. Paul's bold womenswear creations quickly won the hearts of a devoted fan
base who sought his iconic items with their individual twist.
The unique fashion brand quickly gained fame by producing
hand made, one of a kind pieces using vintage army surplus jackets and rare
American patches mixed with bold neon graphics that were inspired by the New
York 80's hip hop and graffiti scene along with Japanese super brands such as
Bathing Ape, Hello Kitty and Hysteric Glamour. A touch of British eccentricity
added in created the fun and stand out brand that is Paul's Boutique today.
Whilst their influences were pulled from history and from
overseas, the London born brand has always been influenced by what is happening
in their hometown. The arrival of Paul's Boutique on the scene turned into a
phenomenon of its own with people queuing up to buy the unique pieces from the
collection, which is now available worldwide.
Over the last ten years, the brand has become a firm
favourite with the urban - savvy youth and have grown with their cult following.
The Paul's Boutique offering has expanded from
clothing to
accessories and
perfume and the brand continued to experiment and keep the fun factor alive
by introducing new fabrics and materials.
WHAT'S IN STORE
Today, Paul's Boutique has grown from where it began in
West London and now reaches a global audience. The collection has developed to
offer more premium detailing, new ranges still keeping the vintage, British
element evident in all pieces.
The next move for Paul's Boutique is an exclusive leather
range for Selfridges and a British made luxury line showing a more mature side
without losing all the elements that make the brand playful and stand out.
